You may have to try to get it working with whatever the latest is. I havent come across a fixed older version yet. Unfortunately we are subject to whatever updates Rockstar throw at us. Some folks ahve found ways of temporarily avoiding the updates but every method I have tried, Rockstar gets you in the end. The main issue is ensuring you have a version of scripthookv that works with your GTAV version. If you can get that far you have largely cracked it. I have had to reverse engineer certain signals before using cheatengine but hopefully you wont have to do that.
That’s very true. After a lot of investments it turns out that, sure there are fishy ways to get the older version’s executables, but the first thing that happens after you run them is that Steam tells you to upgrade and stops you from playing the game.
You also see links/videos teaching you how to downgrade gets pulled off, and there’s not even an option in steam to “stop upgrade GTA V” in “properties”.
You can basically think that it’s “illegal” to play GTA V in an older version. Steam doesn’t want you to do it. R Star doesn’t want you to do it.
How can we install the GTA with an old version? as the README says Make sure GTAV is on version 1.0.1180.2 or below。
