Plans for a Ruby implementation?

Hi there,

First of all, I think this is a great project and I look forward to seeing examples of eve agents in action. I was wondering though: do you have any concrete plans for a Ruby implementation? I'm currently thinking about experimenting with the Java lib and JRuby, but a native Ruby implementation would be even better. Thanks.

Hi Bart,

Thanks for the interest! Currently we (Almende B.V.) are not planning on implementing a Ruby version, but we would very much welcome others (you?) to do so. We will help such efforts by providing architectural suggestions, documentation, examples, source hosting (through github) and testing. A basic first implementation in any language, given the pre-existence of a JSON-RPC library, should only be a couple of days work. If you would be willing to work on such a Ruby implementation, please let us know!
