Thank you for your question. To clarify, sec-parser is currently designed to prioritize parsing HTML documents from the SEC EDGAR database. Here's a more detailed explanation for why we have initially focused on HTML rather than XBRL:

  1. Wider Initial Coverage: HTML documents are more commonly found in the EDGAR database. By initially concentrating on HTML parsing, we can cover a larger variety of documents, providing broader utility right off the bat.
