<div class="paragraph"><p>The mapping of <code>id</code>, <code>name</code>, <code>rel</code>, and <code>tag</code> properties in an ALPS document to similar values in design-time and run-time documents varies and is governed by approved existing ALPS Mapping documents. It is a good idea to include a <code>link</code> element in your ALPS document that points to the mapping reference. If not definitive mapping reference exists for your use case, ALPS document authors SHOULD create their own mapping document that explains the way ALPS elements are to be mapped to the target design-time or run-time format.</p></div>
