I was looking at the nMigen uart.py example, and noticed that the loopback has a yield Passive(), but neither Passive nor the other simulator commands have any documentation to them.

You had no way of knowing, but I'd like to drop or significantly restructure simulator commands as part of #228, and whatever new interface will exist will be documented as part of that issue.
