On semi-rare occasions, the video I'm watching will get stuck. It's not buffering, just stuck, and no matter how long I wait it won't fix itself. If I seek backwards a bit, it will play for a while and then get stuck in the same spot. I think if I seek forwards a bit it works too, but the only way to see that exact part of the video is to close and re-open the stream. Annoyingly, the app usually forgets my spot in this scenario and starts from the beginning.
I suspect this is caused by some communication error between the app and the source, a lost packet or something. Could this situation be detected and the missing data be re-requested or the stream automatically restarted from the appropriate spot?
