What's the problem?

When someone enters a URL with a recognizable top level domain (e.g., .com), but doesn't enter a protocol (e.g., https://), it's treated as a chapter ID. That's not quite smart enough.

What's the design idea?

  • If a standard top level domain is included, but there's no protocol, add a protocol
  • Only count something as a chapter ID if it follows chapter ID format
  • Given an error on any other URL

Who benefits?

Anyone linking anything.
