HERMIT likes to get in your shell and help you out. HERMIT is a text-mode File Manager and Command Assistant, making it easy to move around directories and run built-in and custom commands on your files. HERMIT is also very well integrated into Windows operating systems.
The current version of HERMIT is 1.3 released April 10, 2004.
HERMIT is packaged in a self-extracting installer. Simply run the executable and follow the instructions to install Hermit. To uninstall Hermit, use the Control Panel’s Add/Remove Programs feature.
The HERMIT download includes the Release Notes and the User’s Guide.
