Ability to set Manufacturer code

I hit a problem when trying to add lumi devices to z2m. From zigbee-herdsman pull request #1331 , the workaround is to use ZDO_SET_NODE_DESC_MANUF_CODE command to set manufacturer code, but esp32 return status 31. Is there anyway to set it here ? either runtime or on compile ?
