[Doc] Download page must not use the archive server #23710
Comments
The download page at https://pulsar.apache.org/download/ is mostly OK, and should be used instead |
Is there anyone working on this? If not, please assign this to me. @lhotari |
@Shawyeok Another detail missing from the pulsar.apache.org/download page is about "Remind users to check sums and signatures", explained in https://infra.apache.org/release-download-pages.html#best_practice . Would you like to add that information too? The column "Crypto files" on the download page doesn't make much sense since there is no common concept as "Crypto files" for the checksums and signatures. |
@lhotari Sure, I'll submit a separate patch for this. |
There is a section about verify release integrity on the download page : https://pulsar.apache.org/download/#release-integrity
This could be a one line change, how about |
Search before asking
What issue do you find in Pulsar docs?
https://pulsar.apache.org/docs/4.0.x/getting-started-standalone/ says to download from the site:
https://archive.apache.org/dist/pulsar/...
This is not permitted; the archive site is ONLY for historic releases.
What is your suggestion?
Follow the instructions at:
https://infra.apache.org/release-download-pages.html#links
Any reference?
