Problem with window/dialog focus and tkinter

This is somehow a followup to #7036

When using my homebrew python+python-tk installation everything works fine, but when I use a uv installed python version, tkinter is basically working, but there is a problem with dialog/window focus.

When I use the homebrew python+python-tk installation and when using "filedialog.askopenfilename", the file dialog is opened in the foreground and immediately visible to the user

With the uv installed python version the file dialog stays in the background and a warning is printed too

This is my small test script to easily reproduce this behavior

from tkinter import Tk
from tkinter import filedialog

root = Tk()
root.withdraw()  # Hide the main window
file_path = filedialog.askopenfilename()
print(file_path)

This may be a better fit for the python-build-standalone repo. I doubt there's anything to fix in uv here?

This issue is seen with matplotlib too

Not reproducable on my other Mac running macOS 13.6.5. Further digging suggests it could be a Sequoia bug. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255761734 and homebrew-zathura/homebrew-zathura#129 (comment)

@brot Am I right in saying your issue was more about the tkinter window focus? And the emitting of python3[38524:799162] +[IMKClient subclass]: chose IMKClient_Modern in the terminal was just something that happened as well? Maybe they are related I suppose.

My issue was that my scripts which used matplotlib and dearpygui were working fine but emitting these logs on the terminal.

So I searched for those keywords in the issue tracker here and found your issue. But it seems that these logs are some sort of bug with macOS Sequoia which affects other frameworks as well (not just Python).

But @brot maybe your issue with tkinter window focus is something different, I'm not sure.
