Is this a server problem?

Hello there,
im trying to make it work on my website but cant get to work, reproduced the sample 'state' on the asual site, the links looks like this http://domain/about but on my server the links appear as http://domain/about.html, do i need to configure somethin on my server for jquery adress to work? it's a common apache server with cpanel and all that.
