As a collection manager, I want to use batch ingest for items that have bibliographic data from an external source as well as and other identifiers—both should be added to the descriptive metadata for the record.
Use Case
A collection manager in a University Library has hundreds of items to be ingested into an Avalon instance. These objects correspond to items which have a record in the library catalog. They also have identifiers from other sources which would be of value in the record: barcodes from a digitization effort, identifiers from previous cataloging systems, etc. Both of these sources of information should come through in a batch ingest.
Done Looks Like
When the example manifest attached to this issue is used for batch ingest,
bib import is performed
after bib import, any "other identifier" values are added to the descriptive metadata for the item
