Description

As a user, I want to be able to get a IIIF manifest for a collection resource in Avalon. This manifest contains information on the collection and the items it contains. Item information may most likely include label, thumbnail (uri for an image resource), identifier.

Key question: what we will be using this for? What are the use cases, for us and other? This will help us determine the properties that we include in generated manifests.

Done Looks Like

  • Research done on best practices for collection manifests
    • How is paging implemented, for example?
    • Is this dynamically generated from Blacklight (for example, does the manifest only contain information on items that the user generating it can view/access?)
    • Look at existing implementation in Samvera iiif_manifest gem
