Building libvlc manually

codec-runtime: ubuntu-restricted-extras (contains intel-media-va-driver)

sudo apt install ubuntu-restricted-extras

play media from https://xxx

git clone https://github.com/gnutls/gnutls
cd gnutls
git checkout 3.7.9
sudo apt install gperf autopoint gtk-doc-tools nettle-dev libidn-dev libtasn1-dev libev-dev libp11-kit-dev libtasn1-bin texinfo
./bootstrap
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-included-libtasn1 --with-included-unistring
make && sudo make install
cd -

git clone https://github.com/videolan/vlc
cd vlc
git checkout 3.0.18
sudo apt-get install libavcodec-dev libavformat-dev libswscale-dev liba52-0.7.4-dev
sudo apt install flex bison gettext libasound2-dev
./bootstrap
./configure --enable-debug --prefix=$AX_ROOT/thirdparty/vlc/linux --disable-lua --disable-xcb --disable-qt --enable-gnutls
./compile
make install

plugin load flow:

plugins dir:

• always try load plugins from directory libvlc.so: dirs.c: config_GetLibDir() get dll/so directory
• then check if env: VLC_PLUGIN_PATH exists, load it
