Hello, I'm trying to install volsync on a cluster without csi snapshotter for now, and I get those following error on my manager container in volsync pod:

Did I miss something ? It's my first try, and I really like the feature,

@s4ndalHat VolSync does setup a watch on VolumeSnapshots, so unfortunately it will crash if the CRD is not present. Some more details are in this issue: #929

You could either install the snapshot controller in your cluster as suggested in that issue, or even just deploy the volumesnapshot CRD (see here: https://github.com/kubernetes-csi/external-snapshotter/blob/v8.1.0/client/config/crd/snapshot.storage.k8s.io_volumesnapshots.yaml) as a workaround.

I have a question, on some tests, I got the following error when I created replicationSource to trigger a backup:

I just saw in the documentation that an annotation need to be added on namespaces, for now it is mandatory.

@s4ndalHat By default the restic mover will run in unprivileged mode, so it's generally recommended to set the .spec.restic.moverSecurityContext to match that of the app that uses the data you're trying to backup. This way it should be able to read the files the app is reading and writing.

If files such as keys/cert.key is readable by your app, then the above might help - I think it sounds like you're using the privileged annotation, which should only be required if you need to backup data in the pvc that is not readable by your app user (or if you have an app that runs as root).
