  • Etcher version:
  • I have tried on v1.19.21, v1.19.19, v1.18.11 and lot's of other versions.
  • Operating system and architecture:
  • Tried using Debian x64, Windows 10 x64, Arch Linux x64.
  • Image flashed:
  • Debian12 netinst
  • What do you think should have happened:
  • My very old E8500 computer should complete the boot process.
  • What happened:
  • My very old E8500 computer got stuck when i plugged the thumb drive on the USB, but it works well when i am using Rufus with compatibility mode enabled.
  • Do you see any meaningful error information in the DevTools?
  • Nope.

Sounds like this is a problem with your image or your old BIOS, not a problem with Etcher?

..."but it works well when i am using Rufus with compatibility mode enabled"... So... Can we have a compatibility mode here too?
