With my Raspberry 3B+ and HifiberryOS connected via Ethernet, I get to the country selection menu but cannot select any country and thus not complete the setup. Any workouround?

Hi there,

to understand the issue, do you...

  1. ...get a list of countries but nothing happens (the "next step" button doesn't activate) when you select one or...
  2. ...not see any country choices listed at all?

Best,
Tuomas from Bang & Olufsen

Thanks for the response. If rebooting the product and refreshing the browser window hasn't made a difference, if I may ask you to be so kind to try the following:

  1. Open the developer tools of your web browser (Web Inspector in Safari) and check what kind of messages appear in the Console as you make selections in the country list. Something along the lines of {header: "showCurrent", target: "choose-country"... should appear.
  2. You can force the setup to advance to the next step. There should be a command line near the bottom of the developer tools window. On the command line, type setup.nextStep(); and press the return key. This will skip to the next screen in the setup assistant.
  3. Once you have completed the setup, go to General -> Diagnostics. Here, you can click Collect Information and once the information is collected, download the archive and attach it here (no personal information is included). This way we can look at the logs from the sound system. If you can't complete the setup, you can type beo.showExtension("hifiberry-debug"); to the command line, which should bring you to this diagnostics screen.

Best,
Tuomas
