using an aging samsung s4 on lollipop - i've run into the "gps week number rollover" issue and the time and date logged by your app are stuck in the year 1999 and my time's off as well. i know it's an old phone, but still...is there any chance you can look into this and perform a correction in software?
it looks 'regular'... apart from right now in the u.k where i am it is 3:26pm and your app top right will display 4:26pm. at first i thought i had a g.m.t/b.s.t timezone issue but another of my apps i use for motorsport confirmed the same. i did a quick log of nmea output and was "somewhat surprised" to see i'd timewarped back to last century... july 1999 to be exact. galaxy s4 gti9505 on lollipop
Summary:
Requested by a user:
The issue of wrong times from the GPS week rollover issue has come up on the Google Group before:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/gpstest_android/AXHaBqdKNnQ
I'd like to at least flag the time as red and maybe add an error note to the device info page (#313) to indicate that there is a problem.
Steps to reproduce:
Run app on device with GPS rollover issue (for example, see https://www.verizonwireless.com/legal/notices/global-positioning-system/)
Expected behavior:
Flag that time is wrong and describe why
Observed behavior:
Time appears normally, just a bit off
Device and Android version:
Galaxy S4:
