Know of a mod to add a trackpad tray to the right/left side?

Sorry for posting as an issue, I couldn't find a useful forum to ask the question, and since you've "seen it all", I was hoping you could direct me if you have the time :-)

I was looking for a good way to mount a small mouse / large trackpad tray to the right of my kinesis. I use the keyboard in my lap, so a center-mounted trackpad (I'm using a rather large apple trackpad) has not been ideal wrist-pronation wise.

The curved surfaces make it hard to find a good mountpoint, I'm considering drilling into the case to mount securely, but I'd rather not

That's an interesting question. I definitely have not heard of something like this. I would recommend geekhack as your best option for potentially finding more information about this: they may be your best hope. If it is helpful, this post from the Keyboard Mod Projects section of the list was posted and well-received there. It looks like folks are still hanging out there in 2023 from a quick glance.
