As Node 16 will be at the end of life on the 11th Sep 2023, we will be removing official support for it from that date.
It's possible that SQS Consumer will still work with that version of Node but we will no longer be able to support issues pertaining to Node 16, nor will future changes be tested or considered for compatibility with Node 16.
We would suggest moving to Node 18 as a minimum for continued support past this date.
