National, Societal, and Economic Impact #9
Description
The full proposal must present a convincing case that the targeted OSE addresses an issue of significant societal or national importance. The solicitation mentions, “This program will prioritize funding for OSEs where safety/security/privacy improvements will have demonstrable benefits to society and/or the economy and/or contributions to national infrastructure.”
In the preliminary proposal, we wrote:
National, Societal, and Economic Impact. The Scientific Python OSE has far-reaching
impacts on scientific research, national security, economic growth and innovation, and
education and workforce development.
and then had four subsections:
- Scientific Research Impact on Scientific Research #8
- National Security Impact on National Security #10
- Economic Growth and Innovation Impact on Economic Growth and Innovation #11
- Education and Workforce Development Impact on Education and Workforce Development #12
For the full proposal (due April 16th) we need to expand and improve this section.
