Application can only be opened with administrator privileges #63
Comments
Have you installed the dependencies listed in the readme? They must be installed or the app will not launch. Another thing to note is that if you installed the app as an admin, you must open WinWidgets with administrator privileges as well. |
I expected that it would tell me if I did not have the dependencies installed or it would just error. It just installed, no complaints. Regardless, my system does have .NET Framework 4.7.2 already on it. As far as I know the necessary C++ redistributables should be on my PC already as I run many C++ programs already with no problems. |
I did not install with admin, nor am I running it with admin. |
When I run it with admin, it runs. That is a bug I presume. |
I have sent you an email with a few questions. |
Forget the questions in the email, I have had a thorough look at your engine and I understand now what you are building. It is not quite yet what I need and I assume that in any case you aren't planning to make it into a replacement for the desktop widget engines that came before (Konfabulator and Xwidget). I have no love for CSS and would like to avoid it as much as possible. Thanks anyway. I always keep my eyes open for new .js widget engines. |
Loaded current installer, nothing seems to occur when running. No process in task manager, no errors. Windows 10 Pro.
