<p>Accomplished IT, audio and electronics engineer with over 20 years’ experience working across a wide
variety of fields in the live entertainment sector. Progressed from a shop floor entry through to
director level, whilst always leading from the front and a maintaining a hands-on approach.</p>
<p>Able to calmly prioritise urgent support needs alongside the delivery of long-term objectives.
Motivated and pro-active, with a solid business acumen, excelling at strategic planning and
structured work, whilst maintaining both productivity and precision.</p>
<p>Recognised as a skilled problem solver with a good working knowledge of business processes and HR,
comfortable working both individually, or with stakeholders as part of a wider team. Striving to
continuously improve knowledge and skills.</p>

<p>Launched the Nemesis Audio brand in 2015 to consolidate Orbital’s various electronics &
manufacturing projects under one umbrella. This grew to produce over 180 units across 10 product
lines in 2018-2019.</p>
<p>Planned & migrated IT systems from SBS to a hybrid Microsoft365/Windows Server 2019
deployment, installing and configuring host and VMs, alongside Synology storage, serving both
macOS and Windows clients.</p>
<p>Spearheaded the restocking of over 1000 rental RF channels in 2012 and 2019 due to regulatory
changes from OFCOM to maximize the Government grants received whilst minimizing disruption to
the ongoing productions and events.</p>
<p>Responsible for the maintenance and preparation of a rental stock of 200 computers of various
specifications, ensuring these were configured and dispatched as working systems with the
correct software versions and licenses installed. Also responsible for maintaining and running
all elements of internal IT, website & telephony.</p>
<p>Overall responsibility for support of rental & sales equipment, looking after 50 global
productions and pantomimes over Christmas ensuring the continuity of support and service at all
times.</p>
<p>Managed a team of 5 engineers in Orbital’s service & wiring departments, alongside a pool of 15
freelance staff, to deal with the needs of internal and external clients, responding quickly to
last minute tasks. Manufacturing a wide variety of cable assemblies and repairing equipment
internally where possible or liaising with external service centres.</p>
<p>Recruited several new key members of staff to push the business’ client base and image forward.
As a director of a small business with a £5m+ turnover, I am aware of the importance of positive
cashflow whilst maintaining a healthy balance sheet, having recently dealt with COVID & furlough
guidelines and regulations.</p>

<p>Preparation of a variety of audio equipment prior to rental.</p>
<p>Onsite work, travelling widely across Europe, to configure, maintain, upgrade or support
permanent and temporary installations.</p>

<p>As well as a passion for audio and computer technology, I am an enthusiastic, yet still unskilled squash
player; I also enjoy cycling. I am a Civil Aviation Authority registered drone operator. I have a
passion for hiking and hill walking, having recently been part of an 80 strong team to complete the
Yorkshire 3 Peaks for charity. I like to travel when possible and enjoy experiencing new cultures.</p>
