For our time tracking tools it would be great to have the option sometimes to get a ticket title as just the headline, without the description attached, since we there only use the ticket titles for tracking.

I know there is also command line tools like hmm to get it from for us internally, but they are not available for a broader audience and also sometimes I am logging times on tickets that I haven't even checked out yet (ticket preparations etc).

I see. One could of course switch the template for the commit message to only include the subject. But I guess this breaks other workflows you / other people have, right?

Without cluttering the limited UI with more buttons, etc. one option I see would be: fill the select with the subject and also make it "copy on click".

Just a quick thought though, not thought through yet 😉

What could also be a great alternative is making the buttons configurable entirely (adding as many as you like). This could also solve more things like #268 and potentially help with finding a nice solution for this #372

The only downside I can see is keyboard shortcuts, but we anyway only have one for opening the dialog, which would still fit nicely. We could even ship tickety-tick with a set of predefines that one can easily add/remove and with the current settings as default, so it does not break things.

As another though we could also have a select box somewhere to select between different saved configurations, so one can still use ticketytick like usal, but just switch to another config if something else is needed.
Might not be the best solution for the case above though, since you would probably only want to switch configs when changing pojects.
