Handle exception from getEmbeddedPlugins gracefully

Currently StoicConfig.getEmbeddedPlugins is called prior to setting up stdin/stdout/stderr. So if it throws, we can't show the exception in stderr. You can still see it in logcat, but it would be better to have it in stderr.
