With point cloud encoding hardware requirements became complex (HEVC Main10 is architecture dependent).

This needs documentation, probably on wiki.

This is better explained on UNHVD wiki (here we are concerned with encoding side, dependencies through HVE, not decoding)

Some information on other hardware support (future, not current) in HVE is collected in:

Some of the software requirements (intel-vaapi-driver version) were identified in #6 (comment)

The situation is even more complex and needs more documentation:

  • support varies with architecture/driver/libva version
