Everyone who takes part in Backlot — filing an issue, reviewing a patch, answering a question — is welcome regardless of experience, background, or identity, and can expect to be treated with respect.
- Review the work, not the person. "This diverges from the real API, here is the response I measured" is the argument; "you clearly didn't read the docs" is not.
- Accept correction gracefully, and give it kindly. This project is a long series of small measurements that turned out to disagree with someone's assumption, including our own.
- Assume good faith about intent, and ask before concluding.
- Keep it public where it can be public, so the reasoning stays with the code.
Harassment, insults, discriminatory language, publishing others' private information, and persistent unwelcome attention are not acceptable here, in any venue where you represent this project.
Report a problem privately to the maintainers at oceanjoon@brekkylab.com. Reports are handled confidentially, and the reporter's identity is not shared with the person reported.
Maintainers will respond as they judge appropriate: editing or removing the content, a warning, or a temporary or permanent ban from participating. Maintainers who do not uphold this document in good faith are subject to it themselves.
