Lessons learned - setup needs for 2025/26

There were several hiccups during the 2024/25 iteration of the course:

• Many users did not have a /home directory
• Many users did not have access to the -G farm-course group
• Our configure_modules script no longer works as the module paths have all changed. Doing module avail 2>&1 | grep "bowtie" shows the following module, which works, but is a bit odd as far as modules go: module load HGI/softpack/groups/team354/bowtie2/2.4.2.

For 2025/26, make sure to contact the IT servicedesk ahead of time with a list of all the users to request that an account with /home is created and that they are added to the farm-course group.
Also, ensure that the modules work.
