Font weight: Regular too thin #21

I tried to load the Ubuntu sans mono in koreader on a ebook reader, found that the regular weight is too light, but medium is too dark and bold.

On computer screen, I also noticed that the Regular is a little thin.

Is there any way to set the weight between regular and medium?
