the record file just shows a white screen

Hello Capty author,

I am currently looking for a screen recording software for macOS that can rival Screen Studio, and I came across your project. I am currently using your software, but I’ve encountered an issue. No matter whether I record the screen, a window, or a selected region, after finishing the recording and opening the file with Capty. I cannot see the content I recorded. Additionally, the file size is always the same—316 bytes. Is this a bug?

I hope you can resolve this issue as it would meet my needs, and I would be happy to become a paying user. I wish your software continues to improve and gains more popularity, ultimately becoming a big success.

OS version: macOS 12.7.4

Capty officially supports Macos 15+, some macos 14 users also use without an issue.
I have never tested it on lower version therefore can't debug it.
However the issue you're encountering sounds like permissions issues. maybe you can check in the privacy settings to make sure Capty has Screen Recording and Accessibility perimssions and then try
