I am having an issue when someone registers for the event, it says it will send them an E-mail but nothing ever sends. Wondering if its a bug or just my n00bness.

Have you completed the EMAIL Options to customise this?

Sending emails work for me when member registers to events. You should recheck email settings and outgoing emails.
