@ryantheleach ficus has a pretty narrow focus. It only puts a thin wrapper on Typesafe config, adding the benefit of type classes.
I wouldn't currently consider writing config files within the scope of ficus. And to be honest, I use knobs at work now, so I don't see myself adding support for this in the future.
You raise a good point, and I should at least spell out the scope of ficus in the readme, so I'll leave this issue open until I've at least done that.

Ficus seems awesome at reading config files, but what about writing or updating them? There is nearly no reference to how it writes back.
