Mel Spectrogram Generation

Mel Spectrogram of a Phonocardiogram of a Pregnant Woman

Summary

The code snippet in the notebook can be used to generate a mel spectrogram from an audio file. Most audio file formats are supported. The spectrogram can also be saved in most image formats. You may save the spectrogram as an image by itself or with accompanying axes and labels.

Installation

No special installation steps required. Follow the virtual environment setup on the main repository page and then follow the steps in the notebook.

The example data is the phonocardiogram of a pregnant woman sourced from the following publication. The original file name was m42.wav.
