how much time/ram per km?

So far we've used 676m of CPU time, and 16.7GB of RAM (well, swap). I did give it quite a big area to map... Wonder if it will ever finish! I used 10000.

I should probably re-try with a smaller size!

Heh. 10,000 means you are doing 100,000,000 blocks of area so it'll take a while. I'd estimage 30-120 minutes per 1,000,000 blocks depending on the computer. It's not that smart about clearing out ram, but I've generated a 7000 x 14000 (so about the same) map and that took about 2 days!
