There is no Y axis... just events need to be marked along time axis.

There is no built in way to do this, and it probabbly also wont come so to achieve this with chart.js you will have to create a custom chart type. See: https://www.chartjs.org/docs/latest/developers/charts.html

Will 2nd this answer, I'm not sure chart.js is the best way to implement this. SVG will get you a lot farther since you have much more control over text rendering

Any SVG library you recommend? Google search resulted in Snap.svg & Pablo.

I had some nice experiences with highcharts, its free for hobby use if I remember correct but cost money for comercial use
