different animations when chart container is visible vs initially hidden then made visible

This fiddle has two identical container div, each wrapping a pie chart and a line chart side by side.
The second container is initially hidden (display: none) and, when "show" button is clicked, its display property is set to 'block'. The animations in the second container are different and seem somewhat broken, especially the pie chart which seems to be display all at once, after the line chart has finished the transition:

I'd like to get the the animations of the first container in the second as well.

What am I doing wrong?
