Lots of verbose output noise when installing Chocolatey packages using Boxstarter 3.0.3.0 #575
Comments
The issue had been resolved and released 14 months before your comment. I am not going to reopen an issue that was closed 14 months prior. As confirmed in the issue, we need a new issue to capture the information and logs needed to troubleshoot the issue.I appreciate you are unhappy with it, but it is our process.
It would have been much easier for you, but not for us. Opening a new issue allows us to capture the information as I mentioned above.
That's the way it works. Note that you haven't provided the output from the log file as requested, please add it to the description above (not in a comment) or this issue will be closed.
Please see our Code Of Conduct. Note that Boxstarter is a free and open-source project that is maintained by community maintainers when they have time. If you are unhappy how it works you can make your own changes, fix bugs or add features. You can also help out everybody by submitting a PR. Being sarcastic isn't helpful and generates animosity. |
Is this still relevant? If so, what is blocking it? Is there anything you can do to help move it forward? |
The issues seems to be identical to last time: #501 It can be reproduced using the exact same approach: How Did You Get This To Happen? (Steps to Reproduce)On a clean Windows 11 VM:
The choco install git -y System Details

@pauby Is this enough to keep the issue alive? This issue alone is still holding us back from using v3 |
@Baune8D can you raise a new issue with that information? That way we can capture it all in the description of a new issue and work with you on that one. I can then close this as a duplicate. |
Duplicate of #576 |

❯ It would have been much easier to reopen the issue then than to study it again now.
