Create a Shopify app to show customise image for the user's store and product pages.

See the learnings from Bannerbear's failed Shopify integration. Reasons why I believe OG IMPACT may differ:

  • Price sensitivity - OG IMPACT offers a free tier anyway.
  • Difficulties integrating cleanly into <head> - Unlike Bannerbear, OG IMPACT renders images dynamically, so it would likely be possible to use Shopify's metafield API, avoiding the complicated "template massaging" that Bannerbear had to resort to.
  • Unsustainable levels of customer support - The main reason for this was cited as caused by the necessarily clunky integration. So a cleaner integration should result in lower levels of support.
