Additional factoids

There seems good amount of differences between 4.48 vs 5.0.0, we are building load balancer and trying to find a better starting point to avoid surprises in near future for a major revamp with terraform config. Can you please suggest on which version to used as base?

Also, "rules" attribute is mentioned as beta in the documentation, checking when this will be GA or which version here is closest to be GA?

Thank you for reporting this issue! For maintainers to dig into issues it is required that all issues include the entirety of TF_LOG=DEBUG output to be provided. The only parts that should be redacted are your user credentials in the X-Auth-Key, X-Auth-Email and Authorization HTTP headers. Details such as zone or account identifiers are not considered sensitive but can be redacted if you are very cautious. This log file provides additional context from Terraform, the provider and the Cloudflare API that helps in debugging issues. Without it, maintainers are very limited in what they can do and may hamper diagnosis efforts.

This issue has been marked with triage/needs-information and is unlikely to receive maintainer attention until the log file is provided making this a complete bug report.

This being a more need clarification kind of question, logs will not be relative here

v5.x is still doing alpha releases while v4.x is the stable main line. you can choose based on your appetite and risk which you'd like to pursue.

v4 to v5 is a major version and there will be breaking changes due to rearchitecting it.

@jacobbednarz jacobbednarz closed this as not planned Won't fix, can't repro, duplicate, stale Dec 18, 2024
