Split class time between general professionalization concerns, lectures (mostly in the first half), working through snags on assignments (mostly in the first half), discussions of readings

We're going to spend a lot of time on basics, because we just don't teach them anywhere else, and we can't move forward without them.  We'll take all the time we need.
