I think it would be excellent if there were keyboard shorcuts to
a. go to date [Ctr+D ]
b. new note on date [Ctr+T]
c. focus on subject [Ctr+J]
d. focus on tag [Ctr + G]
e. focus on text [Ctr + E]

I like the "go to date" and "new note on date" ideas. Can you explain how you
envision those working? What happens when I'm sitting in front of ThotKeeper
and press Ctrl+D or Ctrl+T? Is there a date selection popup dialog or
something?

Not fond of the "focus" variety, as ThotKeeper *should* be honoring
tab/shift-tab navigation through the widgets.
