Authorized access to the GitHub API is needed to get info about collaborators for projects. An API key must be stored in a secure way. Also, an API token needs to be obtained, either with each request or saved and periodically updated. I'm not sure if this is possible with Jekyll. We might have to create a seperate API service that is in between our static website and the GitHub API.

Thinking we could use AWS lambda to support getting collaborators -- deploy the simple api that has a github token built in and can accept a request to get collaborators for a project and return it back to the front-end
