When we give to others, we don’t only make them feel closer to us; we also feel closer to them thus creating a sense of community. These exchanges promote a sense of trust and cooperation that strengthens our ties to others
A wide range of research has linked different forms of generosity to better health, even among the sick and elderly.
NC http://foodbanks.org notes that the Triad cities and Asheville North Carolina have the highest level of food deprivation in the nation. Aside from that staggering statistic right outside of our backyard 1 in 4 children suffer from food insecurity.
We as the greater Greensboro community and the Triad are have the ability to change all of this with our app “Triad’s Serving Hands.”
