Writing for Codrops

Here's an overview on how we work with our contributors:

  • We agree on an idea for the demo/tutorial. This can be anything you'd like to explore and that would be a good fit for Codrops. You can see examples of tutorials here: https://tympanus.net/codrops/category/tutorials/

  • We'll create an account for you on Codrops where you can write the article. You can find more info here: https://github.com/crnacura/CodropsTemplate/wiki/Writing-the-article

  • For the final demo(s) that will be hosted on Codrops, you can use the following template https://github.com/crnacura/CodropsTemplate and adjust it to your needs.

  • Once you're finished with the demo(s), you can share a private GitHub repo with "crnacura" and "pbotelho" and we prepare the version for our server. We add some final styles, the links and our sponsor. While the final demo(s) are hosted on Codrops, you can use private Codepen embeds or Codesandbox embeds for any intermediary steps in the article.

  • Under your profile, you can fill in your bio and social links which will appear below the article. To make your profile image appear, you can associate your email with a picture on https://en.gravatar.com/

  • If not agreed otherwise, we pay $300 (USD) before we publish (let me know your preferred payment method and details). Please send us an invoice with the following details:

Floating Imagination - Marketing e Publicidade Lda
Rua Giacomino Ferrari, Lote 64, Bloco B, 104
     8500-782 Portimão
     Portugal
     EU VAT No.: PT514372605

  • Once we let you know the publish date and time, make sure to set the GitHub repo to public shortly before.
