Hi and, first of all, thanks a lot for your work on this extension.
Now the issue:
I just noticed that all my MDC files icons unexpectedly changed with the update, and beyond simply distracting the usual workflow because of the need to remember what the new icon even is instead of rapidly recognizing the file type by the well-known icon, the new icon has a substantial problem that I think deserves to be reconsidered:
The colorless icons being put everywhere are a plague of modern UIs, but in this case, it makes MDC files tabs look more like one of the "special" kinds of tabs/files: on a quick glance, it now resembles VSCode built-in tabs like the Extension page, keyboard shortcuts UI, settings UI, and Plain text language mode, which is "special" in its own sense.
I mean, all normal files are usually colored and we get used to it, but MD files have now become non-colored too.
If the intent was to refresh the look, then changing the icon is an acceptable (though not perfect) decision, but it should've been kept in the same familiar green color as before.
I provide a screenshot to give a better idea of why the new icon is a subtle but real UX degradation.
Can you quickly spot all the MDC files opened by glancing at the tabs bar? Previously, you could:
Now you probably can't, at least not as fast:
Now we need to invest some brain effort to process the colorless icons to ensure that some of them are indeed real workspace source files, and not just a one-off VS Code tab like shortcuts or settings that can be safely closed with a middle click without thinking. I.e., new friction added where it previously just didn't exist.
