Download starts but terminates after a few seconds

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Click on Purchased button
2. Click on OK button
3. Watch progress

What is the expected output?
File downloaded and then installed

What do you see instead?
Nothing - download terminates after a few seconds with no error message.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
My phone is an GT-I9000 Galaxy S with the following: -
firmware version: 2.1-update1
baseband version: I9000XXJF3
Kernel version: 2.6.29 umts_scm@S1-BUILD05#2
Build number: ECLAIR
