Adapting videojs-annotation-comments to images

Hi there,
We are considering using this awesome plugin with videojs and we want to make it work with images too. Have anyone an idea about how we can do this? what are the dependencies between videojs and this plugin ? how we can remove these dependencies or how we can update the code to work on both videos and images?
