While inline image/wesite previews are great, sometimes they can make the chat area a bit too cluttered.

Idea:

  1. If Expand URL to media is checked, add a way to collapse each image/website preview individually.
  2. If Expand URL to media is unchcked, add a way to expand each image/website preview individually

I think the collapsing of images/urls will be hard to implement, because I can't picture it being a good user experience when everything gets "suddenly" expanded on refresh. At least I would expect some sort of memory function. Being able to expand to image when "Expand URL to media" is unchecked though might be doable.

So both my comments are based on not keeping track of which image was collapsed/expanded. If someone can come up with an effective way to store that information without too much logic, I'm all ears.

Just this would be awesome already.
When Expand URL to media is unchecked, the ability to expand it is a bonus. 😀
