Developer Tasks

  • Push the newest code (Client Customization, Jobs & Plugin) to this repository
    • Remove not needed code parts for instance powerJobs if the customer does not require it
    • Remove not needed WIKIs parts
    • Change Connect-ERP in PowerShell Script in order to point to the Server hardcoded. (push change also to Github)
      • Even if we have only 1 machine and the Vault Client and Server are hosted on 1 machine we need to change it because later the client is always installed on different machines
    • Change in each Installer the UpgradeCode to a completly new GUID
    • Change in each Installer the 'WikiLink' to the repository URL
    • Double check the installation path for the customers Vault Version, for example the variable VaultYear in ProductVariables.wxi for the Client_Setupx64
  • Create New Azure Pipeline
  • Run the pipeline, if errors solve them because the result should be a green build!
  • Install the setups of the green azure pipeline build on the customer machines:
    • Execute customized plugin installer
    • Execute customized jobs installer
    • Execute customized client installer
    • Verify the connection between Client and Plugin
    • If validation is OK then create a Github Release by trigger the Azure Release
